Between cybersecurity, biotechnology, and renewable energy, Brittany is displaying its ambitions in terms of competitiveness and innovation. For the period 2021-2027, the Brittany Region is mobilizing more than 1.4 billion euros , including nearly 448 million from European funds.

Brittany region
For the period 2021-2027, the Region’s budget is:
- €970 million from the State-Region Plan Contract (mobilizing €1.6 billion in investments)
- Nearly €448 million from European Funds (excluding EAFRD)

A variety of projects that have benefited from EU co-financing:
- A project to build a hydrogen-powered demonstrator ship has received co-financing of €2 million from the ERDF out of a total cost of €3.66 million.
- A technology platform project has received €85,500 from the ERDF to develop sustainable materials and eco-responsible processes, with the aim of structuring an eco-engineering sector.

European Social Fund (ESF+)
- Objective : Improve access to employment, strengthen social inclusion, fight poverty, promote education, etc.
- Budget for the 2021-2027 programming :
European Regional Development Fund ( ERDF )
- Objectives : Promote ecological, social and territorial cohesion between regions
- Budget for the 2021-2027 programming :
Atlantic Area – European Territorial Cooperation Programme – INTERREG (ERDF)
- Several priorities : blue innovation and competitiveness, blue and green environment (energy efficiency, circular economy, etc.), blue and sustainable tourism and culture, etc.
- ERDF financial allocation for the program for 2021-2027 :
and already 26 projects supported, 320 organizations impacted, in France, Spain, Ireland and Portugal.
European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD)
- Objectives : To promote the competitiveness, sustainability and diversification of rural areas
- Budget for the 2023-2027 programming :
European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF)
- Objectives: to support sustainable, innovative and resilient fishing and aquaculture, while promoting the protection of marine ecosystems and the development of coastal communities.
